Apostle Marcus C. Stevenson Sr. was born March 7,1956 in Helena,AR.
Born to a saved mother who kept me in church, the love of Jesus
Christ was instilled in me at an early age. God has used me to lay
hands on the sick, to cause eyes to come open, and to demonstrate
the power of the anointing even as a young child.
As I grew older, satan had a grip on my life. As a teenager I found
myself in a position where I had to call upon the name of the Lord over
and over again. Drugs and alcohol had me bound! But a praying
mother helped break the bonds that satan tried to hinder my life with. I
knew I needed to make a change in my life. It was then I began to call
upon the name of the Lord to have his way in my life.
One night during a tent revival of a great Prophet of God, David
Terrell, I was called out and the man of God told me about a great work
that God had for me to do. That's when I knew that I had to fully obey
the will of God for my life. From then on I've dedicated myself to the
Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I am a living witness that God can deliver you from the world.
Psalms 107:9 "For He Satisfieth the longing soul and filleth the soul
with goodness".
Ezra 9:9 Yet our God hath not forsaken us in bondage, but hath
extended mercy to us....to give us reviving, to set up the house of our
God.
I married my high school sweetheart Gloria Blake on March 29, 1974.
She has labored along side me the past 16 years in the ministry. She is
a great woman of God. God has given her a great word to speak to the
women of our church. First Lady Stevenson conducts women's service
Sunday mornings at New Testament-Jacksonville.
We have 6 beautiful children together, Cynthia, Shereda, Keena,
Kimberly, Candace, and Marcus Jr. Through our children, the Lord has
blessed us with 5 grandchildren.
